Social ( take two )

An exciting Social was held in the hall for the year seven and eight students, to raise funds for the year eight camp. There were lots of fun activities like Catdaddys ,Azonto and the Dougie competitions.The theme was black and white but most of us came in bizarre colours. The hall was decorateted in black and white balloons It looked like we were in a black and white world.

As we were bumping and moving about to the music my friends and I were dancing like, our pants were on fire by doing these weird and silly moves, only because we didn’t know what to do.Hands up , fist closed and music loud enough to lift the roof.

Then it was time to announce the winners of the dougie competitions, IT WAS...... Mary and Nezinli, we were all excited for them, they danced with heaps and heaps of energy they were fantastic!


Sadly it was time to go home. As we said our prayer and sayings, we all left with a smile and a photo of a lifetime.

The social was awesome but sadly it was time to go home, only if we could party all night but it was too late.Anyways it was the best social I have ever been to.

Readingeggs

Hello and welcome. This week the topic I have chosen to write about is readingeggs. Readingeggs is a website that Mr Barks had introduce us to this term. It has many fun and different activities like reading books in the library , Comprehension and spelling stadium and writing press which we haven't quite tryed yet.


When we first started readingeggs we all had to take a test which set us at our starting level.I first started at 3-1 and now at 4-1. We also get target which shows us in which stage we are in ,like I’m in stage 5.


I like the program because we can get better at reading and it teaches us to understand more about the story.

Hello and welcome. This week I’m going to write about readingeggs. Readingeggs is  a website that Mr Barks had introduce us to this term. It has many fun activities like reading books in the library , Comprehension and spelling stadium.

When we first started reading eggs all of us had to take a test which set us at our starting level.For each books we read we get an egg which are like points or like money where you can spend in the mall.

3-1 is where I first started and now I have moved and grown up to a new level which is 4-1. Just like in our stadium we can change our level but only if it is too hard or easy.

What I like about the activities is that it's good thing because it can help us the with reading and our spelling.

Paralympic

“ The Paralympic is coming up, Yeppy !.  For some of you who don’t know what the Paralympics are, well, the Paralympic has been just the same as the Olympics but invented for people with disabilities such as, people in wheelchairs, blindness and many more.

The Paralympic begins on the 29th of August to the 9th of September which had been held in London. The Paralympics were gathered in the British World War in 1948 to become one of the largest international sporting events of the early 21st century.

The reason why the Paralympic is created, it’s because they want to prove that they are just like us, able bodies .

Closing Ceremony

fireworks shot out into the sky big, bold and beautiful.
Well if you haven't figured out what I am talking about well it was the GIANT closing ceremony was done on the 12th of August at 9pm in London to celebrate the Olympic games and also for those who had taken part in the olympic games.

Half way through the the ceremony there was alot of singing and  dancing and so on the ceremony was huge there was over 4,1000 performers including school childrens an as we all know the brits all love their music.

At the final of the closing Ceremony of the  Olympic Games was over to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic Games. The sports that the athletes who have taken part of was amazing and talented.

Valerie Adams Falls To Second place

“Please make it.....Please make it....as I’m nervously  biting my nails together and getting an unaccepted butterflies hooked and sliding around in my tummy. “Aww second place that will do”.

An 27 year old girl named Valerie Adams , took place in shot put which was set in London who had given up her life to sports. The shock of being the one to discover that Valerie hadn’t entered in her event.

Sadly Valerie Adams could not get close to an outstanding throws of shot put from Nadzeya Ostapchuk who had took the gold medal.But Valerie Adams second throws was further and better. “I’m really disappointed at letting down the people of New Zealand , But will try to take place in GOLD” Valerie Adams says with tears of joy.

Valerie Adams is one of the greatest shot putter. She maybe came second but
will do better next time.

Go For Gold.

In room 18 and around Pt England school we all have been learning or finding  information about the Olympic the reason way is because it has to do with our term 3 topic Go For Gold.The sport I’m gonna be talking about is netball and. The reason why is because it’s  one of my favourite events .


In Pt England we have had netball living in our school for about 15 years. Every
Tuesdays and Thursday that’s the day for our game night from about four to six ,
The type style we have to wear was a skirt and a T-shirt and last of all a pip.

My goal for this term is to work hard on my 
skills and to be fit.


I am looking forward to see what’s the topic for next term and
hopefully we will win all our games and mostly have FUN!

In room 18 we all have been told to pick our favourite place around the school, or at the Pt England reserve and take photos of our favourite place . One of the reason why is for term two , our topic is art Alive. Once we have taken our photo of what we wrote about and  what we enjoyed about then , post  it on our school blog.

Introducing the my favourite place Pt England beach . I picked Pt England beach
because it’s peaceful and  a nice place to have a picnic and relax. I don’t go there often but that’s what makes it so special.

The reason why I picked this picture is because I like the reflection
of the rock and how the white blends in with the picture, also how the
waves curve.

The artist I’ve chosen is Vincent Van Gogh , the reason why is because I really 
like how he contrast his  colours and his paintings, looks kind of realistic.What I also like
about his work is the type of pattern he uses.

I am looking forward to see what it looks like when it’s been drawn and
painted but mostly it will end up just the same as Vincent Van Gogh.

He was Madrid painter .

He loves to use the colour blue in his paintings that mean Period portrayals of beggars and prostitutes, workers and drinkers.

Camp day 1

Walking pass the gates on our way to the Pt England beach for our activity Kayaking. When we got there Mr Burt had given us (Respect crew) some rules and how to use the kayak er. As he was done we had to chose an kayak there were or sorts of kayaks. There were single ones and one that you had to get into partners. As I went to pick I pick the partner one my partner was Chanel. Chanel and I went off into the water trying to push the water with our paddle it pretty hard at times but we still had fun.


Coming back to get ready for our next activity.

hello my name is Tule I am 12 years old my birthday is on 20Th the June born in 1999. I was born in the Auckland hospital , My nationality is Tongan , I come from a family of nine , I have four sisters and two brothers there names are

, Mele , Latu ,Mateo , Melaia , Christina and taufa.

My parent's are Viola and Sione . I was named after my dads grandma , which is my great grandmother she past away when I was like around six years old . The reason why I was named after her was because when other people hold me I start to cry but when it comes to her I don't. When I was a little I looked like my dad when he was baby , chappy and fat with beautiful black wavy heir but now I'm grown up tall.

The meaning of Cyber smart
